Seated Exercises

There are many people that would like to practice Tai Chi or just get moving and improve their help but find it easier to work from a seated position.
From this position we can still make sure that we are upright, and the spine and body is properly aligned. We can rotate the spine and trunk of the body, the arms and the legs, open and close the ribcage and with practice, expand and contract the joints.
Everything can get a workout, and we can really work on the benefits that come from exercise.
In the latest training video, we look specifically at how to sit correctly, how to turn from the center and the waist and how to move in a way that keeps the body moving as one. Everything moves in a relaxed and connected manner.
I will keep adding to the seated video list on The Monkey Temple online school for those of you that find it easier to practice while sitting.
Other good video’s that you can use to develop your seated training can be found at ‘The Library’ on The Monkey Temple. They are ‘Observing the Breath’ and ‘Dan Tien Breathing’. These focus on correct breathing exercises that can be practiced while seated.
